If you are a new parent, or if you haven’t had a vacation since you had kids, you may want to travel but have no idea where to start. You might have been told that it’s pointless or impossible to travel with kids. Luckily, it is easier than ever to find information and inspiration. These fearless mom bloggers prove the common assumption wrong – travel with kids is possible, rewarding, and worthwhile. Check out this roundup of my favorite blogs that will inspire you to travel with kids.
1. Full Suitcase
Jurga is the mom behind Full Suitcase, where she blogs about traveling with her three boys. They live in Belgium, but have been all over the world – from the United States to Australia to Namibia. One of my favorite things about Jurga’s blog is the stunning photography, which has been featured in numerous travel publications. She believes that you don’t need to do anything extreme to make room for travel in your family’s life:
You don’t have to quit your job, sell all your belongings, start home-schooling your kids and trek around the world in a camper, but you definitely can escape your everyday life for short getaways and longer vacations at least once in a while!
2. The Adventurous Family
Rebecca blogs at The Adventurous Family about her cross-country tour around the United States with her husband and two daughters. As the name of the blog implies, this blogger has a taste for adventure! You’ll find information about action-packed activities such as ziplining, hiking, and whitewater rafting.

3. Where Is the World
Kyla from Where Is the World wants to raise her two girls to be “global citizens” – and what better way to do so than traveling off the beaten path? Kyla’s blog is great to check out if you’re interested in destinations that tourists don’t typically visit. Recently, her family traveled through West Africa, where they visited with local villages – truly an eye-opening experience!
4. Le Long Weekend
Nadine writes Le Long Weekend, a blog focusing on responsible travel, eco-travel, and vegan travel in several destinations. As the name implies, many of her posts are about unique experiences to be had in France, making this blog an especially good resource for anyone planning a trip there. Her romantic photos of Provence make me swoon!
5. Becoming a Traveling Family
I described Allison‘s blog, Becoming a Traveling Family, at length in my Liebster Award nomination post. Her posts about world travel, in particular travel with Disney, are sure to appeal to a wide range of families with young children.
6. One Day in a City
Gina from One Day in a City used to work in the travel industry, so you can be sure that she shares lots of insider secrets on her blog. Like our family, hers lives in the Pacific Northwest. I love that I can visit her blog for ideas on where to travel locally. If you’re short on time when traveling, be sure to check out her One-Day Itineraries as well!
7. Happy Place Hunters
Caz wants you to use Happy Place Hunters to help you find your happy place, such as the beautiful Lake Hawea in New Zealand pictured above. She and her husband are lifelong globetrotters and they are passing that tradition on to their two sons with each new trip they take. One of my favorite features is her “Local Knowledge” series, where local residents of various destinations share their favorite things to do in their hometowns.
8. Yorkshire Wonders
As you may have guessed, Nikki‘s blog, Yorkshire Wonders, has lots of information about her home of Yorkshire and other parts of the U.K. Before I travel somewhere new, I make sure to obtain recommendations from locals. I’ll be sure to take notes from Nikki’s blog when I plan a visit to Yorkshire, or even London.
9. Baby and Life
Yashy is the author of Baby and Life, a blog that wants parents to “maintain the pre baby life, post baby.” She has written about travel in many countries around the world, but especially her hometown of Toronto. If you’re planning a trip to Toronto, I’d say this blog is a must-read!
Sonia, the author behind Amniotico, is inspiring in many ways. Besides having traveled to many countries around the world, she is also a humanitarian worker and a single mom. Her job has taken her to some less-traveled destinations, including countries in the Middle East and Africa. Amniotico showcases the underrated beauty of such locations, which makes it worth the read!

11. Travel Pray Love
Jaimee of Travel Pray Love is a Canadian expat currently living in Belgium, making her blog a helpful resource for travelers to Belgium, as well as those interested in becoming expats. Jaimee recently had her first child, so be on the lookout for her future insights on raising a multicultural family.

Travelling_Family on Instagram
While Ingrid does not yet have a travel blog, her Instagram is well worth visiting. Her family lives in colorful, picturesque Nepal, where she is raising her two daughters to be explorers of the world. Here is a sample from her gorgeous feed – a photo of one of her daughters, Olivia, in Oman.
